I have been intrigued with the topic of Akashic Records since I first learned about them a few years ago. Since then I have read a little about them here and there, and also had my very own Akashic Record Reading. Thus when I noticed Linda’s book Healing Through the Akashic Records: Using the Power of Your Sacred Wounds to Discover Your Soul’s Perfection I was interested to read it and learn more, and to share a review of it with you.

Book Content & Personal Commentary
Seeing that we are at a pivotal time in history, when we are in the midst of a mass consciousness awakening, it is a great gift to have books like these available. As more and more people awaken to a new way of living, being, acting and thinking, the process of personal healing is at the root of how expanded we allow ourselves to become.
As we awaken and engage in a new way of life, we need to heal past wounds. Human suffering has been both the cause and the solution, for the past and present state of this world. Thus as we move into a new way of existence, more and more people are finding that until they deal with their personal hurts, wounds and issues, they cannot move further in their personal growth and evolution. Personal healing is integral to building a new way of life, and thus a new Earth.
This is why I value books like this, because they are a great resource for our times. There are so many of us on the planet today that need the same thing, but need it to come in different ways for it to resonate with us. For some personal healing will come through working with Shamanism, for others with energy healers, or a guru, or maybe even through some form of an organized institution. And of course for others yet, it will come through working with the Akashic records. Even though our journeys will be different, in the end we are all reaching for the same goal–liberation, inner peace, happiness, and knowing our personal divinity.
In Healing Through the Akashic Records, Linda focuses on exactly what the title implies. The book serves as a great resource on the path of personal healing for exactly the reasons I mentioned above. We all need healing, but because we are all at different levels of our personal journeys, we will resonate with different approaches to it.
Linda covers the two most critical aspects of healing: self healing and healing our relationships with others. Part of what I enjoyed the most about this book is that it is so straight forward and written in a very supportive, clear and easy to understand language. If you read the format section above, you will get a very good idea of what to expect from this book. Linda delivers exceptionally well on talking about, what she intends to talk about.
While I enjoyed the book and found many points of wisdom throughout to highlight, for me personally, reading this book was a pleasant but not compelling experience. Part of this is that I have read most of what Linda shares through various other teachers before and worked on applying it in my life. Hence because it didn’t feel like new information and because I don’t have a life full of drama or suffering, I didn’t connect with the book as strongly as someone in need of major help would. There is a definite audience who will find this book transformational and strongly resonate with its content. Then there is also an audience who will find this book a nice read, but not overly moving. (More about the ideal audience for this book at the end of the review.) I found myself in the second group. As mentioned above, there are various reasons for this with the biggest being that we all need different ways of hearing what we most need to hear.
In approaching this book, I was also more interested in learning about the Akashic Records and so with this in mind, I probably should have picked up Linda’s previous book How to Read the Akashic Records: Accessing the Archive of the Soul and Its Journey. Even though I don’t necessarily want to know how to read the Akashic Records on a professional level, being fascinated to learn more about this field, chapter 3 is where things began to get really interesting for me.
From there on, I found Part 2 really valuable, especially chapters 4 and 5. So much of where we are in our life, how we live, how we think and act boils down to how we view and treat ourselves. Self-love and self-acceptance are the cornerstones that dictate not only what we experience in our lives, but how we experience it.
It is impossible to cultivate a relationship of self-awareness while simultaneously denying or diminishing ourselves.

I agreed with a lot that Linda shared in Part 3 of the book. I know it will help many find comfort and peace when it comes to difficult relationships they may have or had with others in their life. In this section, even though resentment, forgiveness and empowerment are the main themes, working with our perceptions was the key point. And this is where so many wounds can be healed, if we only learn to use our perceptions in a new context. The most powerful part here and my favorite was Chapter 8. How Linda covered the topics of loss, judgment and acceptance were phenomenal. If only everyone who reads her words would actually apply the wisdom here!
It is the ultimate spiritual opportunity to unconditionally love and respect people who are mean-spirited, harsh, cold and scary.

Part 4 was a good wrap up and covered what many who study Akashic Records talk about – the topic of Ascension. What I really appreciated was that Linda covered this section in a very smart way, without making it seem like some New Age hokey pokey topic. She was clear to point out that Ascension is not a one time event, but an ongoing journey and that the point is to live an “ascending lifestyle”. To do this, three main components are involved: gratitude, grace and generosity.
Ascension is not a one-time event—we do not rise once and forever. As infinite beings, we have the potential for infinite Ascension.

Throughout the book, most of the focus is also on the reader, with little personal commentary from Linda’s personal life. With this in mind, Linda’s approach is very empowering and caring for the reader to get the most of their journey of healing.
Exercises are also provided to facilitate healing, which is another key feature of this book that needs to be mentioned. While in Part 1 Linda explains how to access the Records, at the end of each chapter throughout parts 2, 3 and 4, she provides the reader with healing exercises. The exercises are reflective in nature and in my opinion, whether they are done in the context of the Akashic Records or not, they offer the exact focus needed to put our healing into action.
The ideal audience for this book appears to be two groups of people. For starters, those with a previous knowledge or interest in Akashic studies, who are looking at how this area can further benefit their life will most likely greatly appreciate this book. The other group of people are those who are seeking, and are open to, different resources to help with inner healing. You don’t necessarily have to be interested in the Akashic Records or know how they work, you just have to be open to healing through new modalities. The book is first and foremost designed as a resource to help people heal whatever wounds they may carry.
In conclusion, Healing Through the Akashic Records, is a good resource for those interested in metaphysical and spiritual topics, who would like guidance and support on their healing journey to achieve a life of inner peace and happiness.
Healing Through the Akashic Records is now available in major bookstores and online stores. You can get more information on the book, read reviews or purchase your own copy from Amazon.com (see below).
