Nowadays, the most prominent wars are psychological ones "*in the name of Science.*" Never has this been more clear than during the Covid-19 pandemic. https://www.evolvingbeings.com/post/life-is-for-living-live-fully-not-fearfullyLife is for Living: Live Fully, Not Fearfully2020-12-31T20:11:03.370Z2020-12-31T20:11:03.372ZI was never a big fan of social media due to the negative impact it has on people’s minds and lives, as it is out of alignment with what it means to be a fully functioning and physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually healthy human being. I was reluctant to create a Facebook account back in 2008. I was hesitant about getting onto Twitter in 2009. I was resistant to start using Instagram and held off until 2018. I cycled through active and inactive social media periods over the years. From about 2015, with each new year, I minimized my presence to the point that I stopped using Facebook altogether in 2018. In 2020, I reviewed my use of social media and went through many of my old posts. Even though I only use social media for professional purposes, as part of being an online teacher and writer, it was disheartening to see how much of my time, energy, and life went to posting on and interacting with people on social media. It confirmed everything I have been feeling over the years, including the deep desire to remove myself from the social media sphere, which always felt like a preschool where all the children are attempting to get some attention. Sure, many of my posts helped positively impact people's lives for the better, but most were just noise, fillers, and a waste of mental and emotional resources, as is the norm on social media. https://www.evolvingbeings.com/post/your-life-is-your-responsibilityYour Life is Your Responsibility2020-11-29T21:18:30.635Z2020-11-29T21:26:41.862ZWhat do you give the majority of your focus each day: external distractions or internal workings of the body and mind? **A quality life is created by quality choices.** As long as you choose to complain and point fingers externally, you miss the opportunity to transform and empower yourself internally. This is not any kind of pseudoscience but the nature of science at the deepest core of existence. All physical objects, including living tissues, are made up of atoms, which are made up of energy. The more we tune into ourselves, the more we can sense and remedy an energetic imbalance when it happens in the moment of, or shortly thereafter, and heal the root cause before it grows and goes into other layers of our being. Such energetic imbalances come on as different sensations and feelings of discomfort. It can be cramping in the abdomen after having a confrontation with someone or tightness in the chest upon learning some difficult news. However, when we dismiss these sensations over long periods of time or as they accumulate, they begin to manifest in various physical ways to get our attention that something requires our attention. https://www.evolvingbeings.com/post/the-optimal-health-pyramid-of-lifestyle-habitsThe Optimal Health Pyramid of Lifestyle Habits2020-05-06T17:29:17.169Z2020-05-06T17:29:17.170ZHealth is determined by the quality of our internal environment, which is created through our lifestyle choices. Alone in the room, as the dentist and technician were both elsewhere, I was being subjected to something more painful to me than the impending procedure. As a cruel distraction, this office, like many other dental offices, had two television sets, both streaming network [television news](https://www.evolvingbeings.com/post/what-role-does-the-news-serve-in-your-life); one on the ceiling above the chair, and one on the wall in front of the chair. As I watched the spectacle above me, the pre-trial impeachment hearings for Trump, I was amazed at how news reporters and even trial participants talked in soundbites and hashtags, all of it meaningless and intentionally confusing. Amazed, because I haven't owned a television for about 15 years, and shocked and saddened by the vacuous **programming that was being forced upon me,** I rose, located the remote, and shut off the televisions. https://www.evolvingbeings.com/post/use-the-present-moment-to-move-from-uncertainty-to-certaintyUse the Present Moment to Move from Uncertainty to Certainty 2020-04-22T17:00:00.000Z2020-05-01T17:36:13.708ZThe more future-oriented our thoughts are, the less grounded and centered we are bound to feel. I have chosen to observe and gather as much information as I can during this time without drawing any reactive opinions or conclusions. I have researched the data and science (I have a background in the science of biology and health), and I have heard from different experts. I have examined the many financial and social repercussions of this situation for the present and the future. I have been open to considering what both the mainstream and the alternative media outlets have been sharing. And I have become aware of the sentiment amongst different people and groups throughout the world. https://www.evolvingbeings.com/post/a-heart-centered-approach-is-an-earth-centered-approachA Heart-Centered Approach is an Earth-Centered Approach2020-02-21T21:53:50.022Z2020-02-21T21:58:13.697ZThe natural beauty of our Earth is so precious and so captivating, yet as we look around our world, we know that we have not taken care of our home in the best of ways. We have allowed so much pollution and toxic chemicals to be released into the air, water, and soil. We have caused species to die off due to deforestation, habitat loss, and inhospitable environments. It is next to impossible to go to a beach somewhere in the world today and not find signs of plastic pollution. Large cities and small towns are all inundated with garbage, and recycling programs have shown little hope due to minimal participation around the world in addition to the overwhelming amount of ongoing plastic production. Residents of highly populated cities know all too well the toxic effects of smog on hot days and increasingly poor air quality. Just as the toxins have built up in all parts of our Earth, they have also built up in our bodies with allergies, sensitivities, and chronic diseases being a common affliction for many people. In our neverending quest for more growth without consequences, we have begun to threaten our own wellbeing and survival of future generations.
