Whether you live in Canada or the United States, or any other country, if you celebrate Thanksgiving, may there be peace in your heart and peace on your plate.

If we want to have peace in our lives and peace in our world, we first have to give that peace to others — all others, human and non-human beings. As long as we stay blind and unaware, and continue with traditions that we created at lower points of our evolution of consciousness, we are enslaved by those very acts. And in that state of enslavement, we enslave other beings and contribute to their torture and killing.

May the act of giving thanks and being grateful create a space of love within you big enough to encompass all other beings. May you allow yourself to see yourself in all other life forms.
